Utah desert trip 2021 Part III

My last day in Utah finds me returning to Grand Wash in Capitol Reef National Park to photograph some interesting greenery, and I finally get a photo of Factory Butte, the entire reason I came out to Utah in the first place.

Utah desert trip 2021 Part II

Day two of my trip to the Utah Desert sees me once again dealing with the wind, looking for good compositions, exploring part of a National Park, and getting in a little milky way photography.

Utah desert trip 2021 Part I

It's springtime in Colorado, but with more snow in the forecast, I decided to load up my car and head out to the Utah desert for an extended weekend. My goal is to get some interesting shots in the Factory Butte area, but the trip gets off to a bad start when I fail to have good quality audio and I scramble to find an image. Will the photography make up for my early failures?

Road Trip and crater of the moon

After what has been a very long summer I am finally on another long road trip. I share some tips for how to do road trips on a budget and stop at Crater of the Moon National Monument for some sunrise photography with mixed results.

Sunset and Sunrise at Black Canyon of the Gunnison

With the National Parks back open for business (mostly), I pack up my Subaru and head off to a location that has been on my radar for some time to see if I can capture some new photos.

Milky Way Photography, New Lens and Life Update

It has been a very long time since I have put together a video for YouTube. Things have changed a lot, both in the world and for me personally. With the world still dealing with Purple Monkey Syndrom (because you can't call it by its real name on YouTube without your video getting flagged apparently...) I've been trying to figure out how I can get back into photography safely since all of my favorite places are overrun with people. And what better way to avoid the crowds and practice something challenging than to get out and do Milky Way Photography.
